Bi-cultural Parenting

Bi-cultural Parenting Skills Training for Spanish Speaking Caregivers

Our goal is to
establish support, provide psycho-education and bi-cultural parenting skills training for Spanish speaking parents with children who are at risk or are experiencing disruptive behaviors.

Our objective is for parents to learn and increase awareness pertaining to parenting in a new culture in order to master and practice bi-cultural parenting protective factors.

The group meets for 18 sessions of 90 minutes each. Parents master skills through interactive activities, role-plays and psychodrama. Parents generalize skills at home and community through weekly logs, homework and interactive feedback in class.
